The demise of Mrs. Felias Romero, nee Myrtille Landry which occurred at her home on Solitude Plantation near Lois Station on Tuesday evening where she resided for some twenty-six years, was a great shock to the community. Mrs Romero was born in this Parish on Sept. 18th, 1864 and was a devoted daughter to the late Mrs. Leon Loze, and was connected by birth with some of the oldest Creole residents of this section of the State. She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Misses Aline and Rose Romero, and brothers, Messrs. Tertuele and Henry Landry also of this Parish. Deceased possessed that Christian character that endeared her to all of her acquaintances which was attested by the large concourse of sympathetic friends and relatives who gathered at her bier to pay their last respects. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Father Langlois at St. Peter's church on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. To her deceased husband and children and other relatives the Enterprise extends its condolences.
