ANTOINE DUPLESSIS ROMERO. - Died, at his residence at Parc Perdue on 
Thursday, November 27th at 6:45 o'clock P. M., Antoine Duplessis Romero. 
Deceased was born in St. Martin parish on May 4th, 1834, and spent the 
greater portion of his life in the community in which he died. Mr. Romero 
served as a gallant Confederate soldier during the Civil War. He is survived 
by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Romero of Parc Perdue, and leaves to mourn him 
several grand-children and a number of great grand-children. The funeral 
occurred from St. Peter's Catholic church on Friday, November 28th at 3 
o'clock P. M. in the presence of a large gathering of sympathetic relatives.
