DIED: At his residence at Broussard, La. on Wednesday, January 7th, at 5 
o'clock A. M., Edmund Crawley Rose, a native of this parish, born August 18th, 
1864. The funeral took place from the Episcopal church in this city on 
Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

The deceased was the overseer for the Billeauds at Broussardville. He was a 
brother of Mrs. Junius Sampson; also, of Messrs. Stephen and Dave Rose of this 
parish.

EDMUND CRAWLEY ROSE. - Died, at his residence near Breaux Bridge on
Wednesday, January 7th, 1914 at 5 o'clock A. M., Mr. Edmund Crawley Rose, after
an illness from heart failure of only a few days. Mr. Rose was a native of this
Parish, being reared in the Fausse Pointe section, where he was married to Miss
Mathilde Gonsoulin, a daughter of Mr. Luzin Gonsoulin, who survives him with six
young children, three boys and three girls. Deceased was a son of Mr. Wm. Rose of
Loreauville and leaves besides, to mourn his demise, three brothers, Messrs. J. D.,
W. A. and Stephen Rose. The funeral was held from the Episcopal church in this City
on Thursday afternoon, Rev. Diggs officiating. Mr. Rose being a member of the Woodmen
Lodge of Breaux Bride (sic)the local oranization here turned out in a body to pay
their respects. The family have the sympathy of a large number of friends and relatives
throughout the Parish.
