RUSSELL: On September 22, at 1 o'clock a. m., at the Charity Hospital in New 
Orleans, Dan. A. Russell, aged 48 years. The deceased had been a commercial 
partner of Andrew McDermott, of this city, for the past eleven years. They 
embarked in the picture business about a year ago, with headquarters in this 
city. The father of the deceased was a lawyer, with his home at Charlton, 
Miss. He was Colonel of the 29th Miss. Regiment during the civil war and was 
elected for two terms State Auditor.
