IN MEMORIAM.

The ladies Parish Guild of the Episcopal Church at a special meeting on 
Wednesday, June 18th, after transacting its usual business was saddened by 
the official announcement of the death of Anna Harlow Sampson, on June 10th, 
1902, at Beaumont, Texas. Miss Sampson, aged 22 years, had been a member of 
the Guild since the date of its organization five years ago. She was ever 
earnest in her devotion to the Church, and diligent in the discharge of any 
duty assigned to her. Her departure hence to the Blessed Rest of her 
Father's House, while life here was young and joyful hopeful, filled all 
hearts with a sense of their great loss, and gratitude to God for the 
example of such a noble and beautiful christian.

The following resolutions were passed and ordered published; resolved; That, 
in the death of Anna Harlow Sampson, the Ladies Parish Guild take this 
opportunity to express their own deep sorrow, and also to extend to her 
bereaved parents and relatives their heartfelt sympathy and condolence:

Resolved; That we place upon record our tribute of esteem and affection for 
one, whose life of christian purity and sweetness was ever an inspiration to 
follow loyally and faithfully the blessed steps of our Master.

Resolved; That we look forward with comforting assurance to again beholding 
this young flower blooming in its perennial glory, adorning forever God's 
garden in Paradise.
