Retired Planter Succumbs at 84 - NEW IBERIA - Joseph E. [sb A] Segura, 84-year-old 
retired Iberia planter, died Thursday at 6:45 a.m. in Consolara Home for the 
Aged in New Iberia.

He was a native of Ward 9 of Iberia Parish and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. 
Francois Segura. He was married to the late Loyle Capdeville, a daughter of the 
late John J. Capdeville of Baton Rouge.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Oswald Mestayer and Mrs. Blanche Sagrera 
(sic) both of New Iberia, four brothers and five sisters.

The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 
with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery.
