Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Mr. Segura was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierre H. Segura and a native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia for most of his life. He was a retired banker and was associated with the State National Bank for over 50 years. Survivors include his widow, the former Aline Voorhies; one adopted son, Kearns Voorhies; three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Bernard Jr. of Cade, Mrs. Preston D. McNeely and Mrs. Knowles Tucker, all of New Iberia; one brother, Jacob Segura of Mansfield; two half brothers, Calvin Segura of California and P. H. Segura with the U. S. Air Force in Greely, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. P. A. Landry of New Iberia and Mrs. Sumoter Cousin of Shreveport; one half sister, Mrs. James Willis of Golger, Texas; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were by the Evangeline Funeral Home. source: Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA) Wednesday, January 24, 1962, page 9 Retired Cashier Of Iberia Bank Dies Tuesday. - NEW IBERIA - Williamson Segura, 75, retired cashier of the State National Bank of New Iberia, died unexpectedly Tuesday at 12:15 a.m. He had been connected with the bank for 50 years. The funeral was held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a native of New Iberia and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Segura. Survivors are his wife, the former Aline Voorhies, three daughters, Mrs. W.J. Bernard, Mrs. Preston D. McNeeley and Mrs. Knowles M. Tucker, all of New Iberia, an adopted son, Kerns Voorhies, and three brother and three sisters.
