Ms. Amanda M. Simon, 88, a native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, 
died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Iberia Medical Center. A celebration of 
life services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at 
Journet and Bolden Funeral Home, 711 S. Corinne Street in New Iberia. 
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary service 
will be recited at 10 a.m. at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memories three brothers, Edward Harrison, Anthony 
Harrison and Carl Thompson; four sisters, Theresa H. Butler, Bertha E. 
Jones, Florence Francis and Julia Harrison; a special godchild, Michael A. 
Smith; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie “Mae” Roy Harrison; father, 
Lester Harrison; one brother, Abraham Harrison; and one sister, Norma Jean 
Harrison.

Active pallbearers will be Lane Michael Jones, Nicky Dwayne Jones, Mark 
Butler, Henry Butler, Michael A. Smith, Kurt Londo and Arnold Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Jones, Isaiah Jones-Smith, MaCarry 
Benjamin, Anthony Harrison, Carl Harrison, Carl Thompson, Jude Pickney, 
Kenta Martin and Ronnie Simon.

Journet and Bolden Funeral Home, 711 S. Corinne New Iberia, LA 70560, 369-
3638, Laura Semien Funeral Director/Manager, GC-C is in charge of the 
arrangements.
