(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, November 30, 1912, Image 2 Died: At the residence of her nephew, Mr. Walter Angers, in the suburbs of this city, on Wednesday morning, Mrs. Wm. Snider, born March 12th, 1829. The funeral services were held at the First M. E. Church, South, on Thursday forenoon at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Snider had been making her home with her only son at Lake Charles for some time. Upon his being called here some two weeks ago by business interests, she was delighted to avail herself of the opportunity of visiting her old home, relatives and friends. About a week ago she contracted a cold, which quickly became complicated with troubles of more alarming symptoms. Vain is any attempt to measure the loss of a mother's love. After all the poets have sung and lovers dreamed, on side of heaven, there is no love like the mother love. We believe the tender care, devoted to those nearest and dearest, went with her to the better land, where she will await in one of the "palaces of ivory, Its windows crystal clear," to welcome and bless those who loved her in this life. To her only son, a life-long companion and friend of the writer, we extend our sincerest sympathies in this hour of his immeasurable loss and deepest sorrow.
