NECROLOGY.

At mid-night on Thursday, March 7th, 1918 at the home of her husband at 
Loreauville, occurred the death of Mrs. Louis Suard, nee Helen Grand. Mrs. 
Suard was born at Fribourg, Switzerland during the month of January, 1841, 
and settled in this country when quite a young woman. She resided with her 
husband, Mr. Suard, in the Fourth Ward of our Parish for many years and 
reared a family of five devoted sons and daughters, namely: Messrs. Felicien 
Suard, Albert Suard of St. Martinsville and Mesdames John Eldridge, 
Ferdinand Moulis and Henry Grevet, besides a number of grand-children. Some 
two months since, she was stricken with an attack of appoplexy from which 
she succumbed on the date above mentioned. The funeral was attended by a 
large concourse of sympathetic relatives, friends and acquaintances on 
Friday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Father Solignac conducting the funeral 
ceremonies.
