DIED - At her residence of her son-in-law, Mr. L. J. Burguieres, at 
Lafayette, on Saturday, August 3d, 1918, at 10:30 P. M., Mrs. Bernard 
Suberbielle, mother of J. P. and A. J. Suberbielle, born Feb. 21st, 1843.

Her funeral took place from St. Peters Catholic Church in this city, on 
Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock.

MRS. BERNARD SUBERBIELLE.

On Saturday, August 3d at 10 o'clock P. M., all that was mortal of the 
venerable Mrs. Bernard Suberbielle passed to the Great Beyond. At the time 
of her death she was visiting her daughter Mrs, L. J. Burguieres at 
Lafayette, after a long residence in the city of New Orleans where she had 
resided with another daughter, Mrs. L. P. Patout. Mrs. Suberbielle was a 
native of this Parish and spent almost her entire existence in New Iberia 
where she was born on February 21st, 1843. She was universally admired by 
all who knew her and devoted her life in rearing some five children and a 
large number of grand-children who mourn her demise. Among those of her 
living descendants are Mrs. Patout and Miss Louise Suberbielle of New 
Orleans; Mrs. Burguieres of Lafayette and Messrs. J. Paul and A. J. 
Suberbielle of this City. The funeral was held from St. Peter's Catholic 
church on Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock in the presence of her numerous 
friends and relatives. The family have the sincere condolences of many 
sympathizers.
