(New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, May 28, 1910, Image 3 Died, at his residence on Hacker Street, last Wednesday morning at 3:15 o'clock, Mr. Frederick Veazey, surrounded by his large family of children. Mr. Veazey was a native of this Parish, being born in the year 1835, and has resided here ever since. When quite a young man he was engaged in the newspaper business, afterwards filling several responsible positions as an officer of the law. Deceased was a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus and took an active interest in the Association. The funeral obsequies were held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on the same day at 5:30 o'clock, the members of the Knights of Columbus attending in a body together with a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives.
