Walet, a son of the late Jno. D. Walet of Loreauville, died at sea the latter part of last week. He was employed aboard one of the Trans Atlantic Liners and previous to his last illness had made several trips across the ocean. His remains were brought home for interment, arriving here on last Wednesday afternoon. 2nd. Death Notice: source: New Iberia Enterprise and Independent Observer. Owing to like of time to illicit definite information, we are unable to go into details as to funeral arrangements of these young heroes who have died while giving their all to the Nation. The remains of Charles Walet of Loreauville, son of the late John Walet, who died at sea, left Hoboken, N. J., destined for New Iberia some days ago, and is expected hourly by his grief-stricken mother and other relatives. 3rd. Death Notice: source: New Iberia Enterprise and Independent Observer.
