MRS. LOUIS WUST

New Iberia lost another old resident on Thursday of this week when Mrs. 
Louis Wust passed away at her old family home on Center Street, just outside 
the corporate limits.

She had reached a ripe old age, having been born in County Monagan, Ireland, 
80 years ago. Mrs. Wust resided in Loreauville for a few years but built the 
home on Center Street a quarter of a century ago, where she has resided ever 
since.

The surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. J. E. Martin and Mrs. Willie 
Boutte; Mrs. Mercer, of Jennings, Mrs. A. Mouret, of Alexandria, Mrs. Cyrus 
Broussard, of Derouen, W. C. Martin of Lafayette, and Rosa and Gary Maartin 
of New Iberia, all children of Mrs. J. E. Martin; and Sidney and Margaret 
Boutte, children of Mrs. Willie Boutte; also four great grand children.

The funeral took place from St. Peters Church at 2 P. M. Friday.

Died at her residence in the Sixth Ward on Thursday, July 3d, at 10:20 A. 
M., Mrs. Louis Wust, nee Catherine Cassidy, a native of Momogan, England, 
aged 80 years. The funeral of this venerable woman was conducted by Rev. 
Langlois on Friday, July 4th at 2 P. M. in the presence of a large circle of 
friends and relatives.
