WHITE - After a valiant struggle of several days Miss Lizzie M. White succumbed to an attack of appendicitis, at her home on East Main Street. The end came at 1:30 P. M. on Wednesday. The funeral services, conducted from the Methodist Church at three thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon, were attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends, who came to pay their last respects to one of New Iberia's noble women. Miss White was a highly educated and accomplished lady, and a talented Musician, and was always ready to give of her talent for any worthy cause. Her death comes as a shock to New Iberia, and is a distinct loss to the entire community. The deceased was born in this city on August 30th, 1875, and spent her life here doing deeds of love and kindness wherever opportunity arose. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
