There was celebrated at the Catholic church of Jeanerette last Monday morning at eleven o'clock by Reverend Fathers Bardy and Langlois, the nuptials of our young fellow-citizen and bookkeeper of the People's National Bank, Mr. Laurent J. Dauterive and Miss Hilda Bourgeois, the charming and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. St. Paul Bourgeois of Jeanerette. The church was filled to overflowing with friends and relatives of the popular young couple. Mr. Will Bauman of this City acted as best man while the ushers were Messrs. Louis Walet, Robert S. Bell, Sidney Bourgeois and Mr. Henry Larcade. Miss Ada Wolford acted as Maid of Honor, the bridesmaids were Misses Cloe Beleu, of New Orleans and Mrs. Henry Larcade of Opelousas, La. The wedding march was beautifully rendered by Dr. J. B. Hull of this City. After the beautiful Catholic wedding ceremony a reception was tendered the couple and their friends at the home of the bride's parents which lasted until 2:30 in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dauterive took the afternoon train for New Orleans where they spent their honeymoon. They will take up their residence in New Iberia upon their return.
