On Thursday, Feb. 11, Mr. E. P. Steiber and Miss Mary Boutte of New Iberia, were married in that city in the Catholic church at 3:30 p. m. The bridesmaid was the bride's sister, Miss Lillie Boutte, and the best man was Mr. Tom Parr. Immediately after the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride's father. The bride is a charming young lady of our sister city and the daughter of Mr. H. Boutte, a prominent sugar planter. The groom is a popular employee of the Southern Pacific. He came from Texas five years ago and entered the emply of the road as lineman; after a year he was transferred to the block signal and for three years has been a locomotive fireman on the L. W. The newly married couple came to Lafayette on the 9:25 train and yill (sic) make this their home. The Advertiser joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy married life.
