Simon Brown were married at the Catholic Church Thursday evening at 4 o'clock, Rev. Father Bardy officiating. The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fortier of Jeanerette. The groom is a rising young sugar planter from Glencoe and is the son of J. B. Brown, owner of the well-known Louisa plantation, near Cote Blanche Island. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and costly presents. The groom is a rising young sugar planter from Glencoe and the son of Mr. J. B. Brown, a prominent sugar planter of this parish.
