DUPERIER - WORTHHM (sic),

Married, on July 29th, 1903, at 8 P. M. , at the home of the bride's parents at 
Beaumont, Texas, Mr. Alfred Duperier of New Iberia and Miss Elavye Wortham, 
Rev. Wm. Lee officiating. The beautiful home was in gala dress the parlor being 
especially decorated with palms, ferns and great masses of choicest cut 
flowers. Promptly at 8 o'clock the bridal party proceeded to the altar as the 
grand tones of Mendelsohns Wedding March rang out under the inspiring touch of 
the fingers of the grooms mother. Attendants were Miss Elyzabeth Martin as maid 
of Honor, Thomas King as best man, Miss Marie Duperier as bridesmaid, Petite 
Dormal Kennedy, as tray bearer. Elegant refreshments were served elaborately. 
The bride was gowned in white crepe dechine with beautiful trimmings, she wore 
a handsome diamond sunburst in her hair. The bride's traveling costume was of 
blue Foulard with hat to match. Miss Worthram (sic) was one of Beaumont's 
fairest daughter, loved and known by all for her charming traits and graces. 
Before her coming to Beaumont, she was the especial favorite of Waco society, 
and no social function was complete without her presence. Every one is pleased 
to know she will be a permanent resident of Beaumont. The receiving party 
consisted of the following: Mrs. R. L. Wynne, Mrs. S. Kennedy, Mrs. S. C. 
Trimble, Miss M. Tidewell, Misses Duperier.
