Appeared: Margueritte Blanchard, widow of Jean Baptiste Allain, who declared that she had 4 children, named: Jean Baptiste, Pierre, Marie Margueritter, and Bernard Sosten, minors. Date: May 17, 1792 At request of Mrs. Margueritte Blanchard, widow of Jean Baptiste Allain; of Joseph Marie Landry, Firmain Landry, Pierre Allain, and Simon Allain, grand- father and uncles of the minors. Inventory. They have established Simon Allain, tutor of the minors. A plantation situated on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Mr. Joseph Leblanc and below to those of Mister Joseph Barquer Vahamonde, containing about eight arpents of front, on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, the buildings, enclosures, such as they comprise and contain at present, which belong to the succession for having been purchased by the deceased of Bonnaventure Forret, the said plantation estimated -- Another plantation situated at the High Lands, containing about eight hundred arpents in superficie and all being cleared, without any works, which had been condeded to the deceased, according to the titles of concession and plan on the date of the eight of January one thousand seven thousand eighty-nine, estimated -- family meeting following within same instrument, in which the relatives of the minors chose Simon Allain, their paternal uncle. Date: May 18, 1792 Appeared Margueritte Blanchard, widow of Jean Bte Allain, declared that the succession owed certain debts. Date: May 18, 1792 Recapitulation - Widow Jean Baptiste Allain accepts inv. as tutrix of minors, 1/2 to her & 1/2 to minors, for minors share, she mortgages property.
