Date: April 29, 1800 Decree - By Franco Rivas, Commandant, that in order to proceed to the inventory, names as guardian of the minor, Margarita Babin, the person of Honorato Braud, her uncle by blood and as appraisers, Juan Dupuis and Joseph Orillon Jr. Date: April 30, 1800 Acceptance of Honorato Braud as Guardian of Margarita Ysavel Babin. Same date Acceptances of the two appraisers Date: May 1, 1800 Commandant Rivas observing the acceptances and oaths, decide to proceed to the inventory. Notification to Carlos Babin, to Pablo Babin, to Franco Babin, to Marcelo Rivet, husband of Maria Magdalena Babin, to Honorato Braud, guardian of Margarita Ysavel Babin, to Joseph Orillon, Jr. and to Juan Dupuis, the last two named, appraisers. Date: May 2, 1800 Inventory - movables A tract without felled wood, situated on the Hill of the Fountain in the District of Manchak, bounded on the right by those of Henrriques Adams and on the left by those of Pedro Moyse Forest, composed of five arpents and a half of front by forty of depth, which belongs to the succession, for having been purchased by Pablo Babin in the name of his deceased father, Francisco Babin of the mentioned Commandant by deed executed before Dn Nicolas DeVerbois, Commandant who was we understand of this District, on the twenty-second day of the month of August of one thousand seven hundred ninety-one, which rests in the archives of my office, said land is in the same condition in which it is found. (The phrase the Hill of the Fountain, is in Spanish la cuesta de los fuentes, or could mean "the Bluff of the Scource of the River") Date: May 3, 1800 Family Meeting - Appeared: Carlos, Pedro and Francisco Babin and Marcelo Rivet, husband of Maria Magdalena Babin, declares that having proceeded to the inventory, that they desire to proceed to the sale. And that it would be to the best interest of the minor, Margarita Ysabel Babin, to sell the property at auction. Curator of the minor, is Honorato Braud, her uncle by blood, to receive her inheritance, maternal and paternal. 1st Cry, 2nd Cry of Sale - Date: May 12, 1800 Sale at auction - movables Date: May 18, 1800 Commandant Franco Rivas delares that not having been able to sell the land in the above sale, publicly cry again. Date: June 1, 1800 Sale of land. No bidder. Date: July 13, 1800 Appear Carlos, Pablo and Francisco Babin, brothers to Commandant - Received sum from the sale of the property of their decd. father, Francisco Babin. Date: July 13, 1800 Liquidation - At the request of Carlos, Pablo and Francisco Babin, brothers; of Marcelo Rivet and Honorato Braud, the first husband of Maria Magdalena Babin, and second as curator of Margarite Ysavel Babin, minor sister, all five children and heirs of the decd. father, Franco Babin. Liquidation continued - Sale of the various properties - $420.5 to said sum is increased $500 in which the decd. Franco Babin had sold to his sons, Pablo and Franco the plantation which belonged to him and to his decd. wife, as is confirmed by private papers dated March 4, 1795. Expenses mentioned. Balance mentioned. Sum to the minor, Margarita Ysavel Babin, which corresponds to her in result of the exchange of the plantation which the above said brothers had made with Dn. Antonio Blanchard, to give the sum to her curator and uncle, Honorato Braud, the land which belonged to the deceased and which is on the Bluff in District of Manchak, is divided into equal parts, among the heirs. Date: July 13, 1800 Receipt - Appeared Marcelo Rivet, husband of Maria Magdalena Babin To Carlos, Pedro and Francisco Babin. Received sum which belongs to Maria Magdalena Babin, his wife from the inheritance of the property of her decd. father, Francisco Babin. Same date Receipt - Appears Honorato Braud, uncle by blood and curator of his niece, Margarita Ysavel Babin To Carlos, Pedro and Francisco Babin. Recieved sum being her share in the succession.
