Joseph Braud, uncle and under-tutor. A tract or plantation of eight arpents front on forty of depth, situated in this District on the left bank of the river, adjacent on the upper side, to Mr. Francois Babin, and on the lower side to Firmin Guedry, * * movables. Before me, Commandant Louis Judice For copy in conformity with the orginal remaining in my hands, at Lafourche des Chetimachas the 22nd of October 1790 Attached to the above is the following: (gist) By the marriage contract of the deceased Firmin Babin and Isabel Brouses, on November 20, 1781, the husband brought into marriage a plantation of three arpents, estimated at certain sum. And for the sincere love he had for his wife, before his decease, he gave a donation to her of the 10th part of all his property, for her to enjoy her entire lifetime, and at her death, to return to the heirs. Intending by the said contract, that all the property acquired be partitioned in equal portion. October 15, 1790.
