A plantation situated on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of the N. DeVerbois Commandant and below to those of Firmain Landry, containing about six arpents front on the ordinary depth of forty arpents; Adjudicated to Victor Blanchard. Surety, Marie Joseph Landry Date: January 7, 1794 Receipt - Mrs. Marie Joseph Landry, widow of Ignace Babin, in her name and as tutrix of Pierre Babin, her minor son, to Commandant (N. DeVerbois) receipt for delivery of money from the auction sale by the Commandant. Date: January 3, 1794 Declaration of debt - Mrs. Marie Joseph Landry, widow of Ignace Babin to Minor, Pierre Paul Babin, acknowledgment of debt of certain sum which she retains for him from the succession of the late Ignace Babin, his father, deduction having been made for the expense of surveying the land belonging to him, situated at the Hill of Manchack, promising to remit money at his age of majority. Date: February 3, 1794 Acquittance - Firmain Blanchard; Olivier Blanchard; Jean Landry for Marie Joseph Blanchard, his wife; Joseph LeBlanc for Marie Marthe Blanchard; Etienne Comau, for Margueritte Blanchard; Victor Blanchard; and Isidor Blanchard; as heirs of Ignace Babin, their step-father, give acquittance to Mrs. Marie Joseph Landry, widow Ignace Babin, for money received. Date: February 3, 1794 Acquittance - Jean Bte Babin, tutor of Manette Babin, minor child of decd. Ignace Babin; & Joseph Babin to Mrs. Marie Joseph Landry, widow Ignace Babin, for their share in the Sucn. Liquidation of the succession of the decd. Ignace Babin The distribution of sums among the various heirs mentioned Heirs: Firmain Blanchard, Olivier Blanchard, Victor Blanchard, Isidor Blanchard, Pierre Paul Babin, Etienne Comau for Maugueritte Blanchard, his wife; Jean Landry, for Marie Joseph Blanchard, his wife; Joseph LeBlanc, for Anne Marthe Blanchard, his wife; Joseph Babin; Manette Babin. And widow Ignace Babin. Half to widow and half to children. Due to the Sucn. certain sum for expenses of surveying made for the ownership (which were partitioned to the following by the decd. Ignace Babin) of the high lands:/ Olivier Blanchard, Joseph Babin, Victor Blanchard, Isidor Blanchard and Pierre Paul Babin. Joseph and Manette Babin receive $40.15 coming from their mother. As results of auction, sum coming to Pierre Paul Babin, which his mother holds for him.
