Date: October 18, 1798 Order to proceed to the inventory of the property of the decd.; and the Commandant names for guardian of the widow Margarita Clouatre, Pedro Rivet; and appraisers, Francisco Marionneau & Augustin Richard. Date: October 19, 1798 Oath of the Guardian of the widow, Pedro Rivet. Same date: Oath of appraiser Franco Marionneau. Same date: Oath of appraiser At. Richard. Decree by Commandant that observing the oaths above, he would proceed to the inventory. Notifications of the inventory, six times. Martin Chelatre, her uncle; Gorge Climpetre, principal curator to them; Francisco Marionau and Augustin Richard, appraisers; movables. Same date: continuation of inventory The plantation situated on the right bank of the Mississippi river, little above Bayou Plaquemine, composed of six arpents of front by forty of depth, narrowing at 9 degrees, 30 minutes toward its depth, bounded above by the lands of Aman Ebert and below by those of Jacob Chelatre, according to the plan and title of concession of the Governor General of this Province dated the thirtieth of May of one thousand seven hundred eighty-seven; with the edifices and fences and some dependencies, etc. Date: October 27, 1798 A translator named; to translate any Spanish to English, etc., named Joseph Charp. Date: October 27, 1798 Appeared Margarita Clouatre, widow of the decd. Martin Chelatre, who declares that having proceeded to the inventory of the property of the decd., she desires the property to be sold at public auction. And being present (at family meeting) her guardian, Pedro Rivet; Barbara Climpetre, widow of the decd. Santiago Chelatre, as curator of her minor children, who are heirs of the said decd. uncle by blood, Martin Chelatre; and Gorge Climpetre, principal curator of them; who appear to deliberate as to the advisability of selling said property; decide to have public auction.
