All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 15, 2006, 7:34 pm Source: Transcribed Court Document Written: November 20, 1791 Date: November 20, 1791 Agreement - Exchange Jean Charles Comau and Tirjo Vermejo They desire to end the difficulties which had arisen between them in regard to the exchange mentioned under private signature of the 17th of May passed, and have declared, to-witt: Tirjo Vermejo by means of exchange which he makes in favor of Jean Charles Como, of his plantation in its entirety, situated on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Joseph Leblanc and below to those of Manuel Coruil, containing about six arpents front on the ordinary depth of forty arpents which came to him as follows: about three arpents of front from Mr. Francois Moron which he had purchased from this latter by act passed before me and the three other arpents were adjudicated to him at the time of the auction sale which I had made of the property of Frederick Bossemann; also abandoning posts in cypress grove etc. In exchange, Jean Charles Comau abandons to Tirjo Vermejo, part of his plantation situated on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Pierre Brasseux on descending up to the bakehouse, situated on the same plantation, containing about five arpents, the buildings, enclosures without including the mill, Comau to make the fences which are to be placed on the lower boundary after the land will have been bounded, that which Jean Charles Comau obligates himself to have made as well as Tirjo Vermejo of his own, each at their expense, which fence will rest in the middle, and for security of payment of costs, Charles Comau mortgages the plantation which had been exchanged to him by Tirjo Vermejo; Comau also promising to re-cover the gallery in front.
