Together in order to proceed to the liquidation, partition & definition of amount from the succession of dec. Francois Croizet, before Mr. Chantalou, Royal Notary, on November 22, 1759 at New Orleans, and registered at Pointe Coupee April 8, 1772. Act of partition and division of property of community of Genevieve Cheval, wife of the decd. Croizet and at the time widow of Antoine Rousseau, her first husband, and by second marriage of dec. Seret, by which is due sum to the Francois Croizet, Sr. and Francois and Simon Croizet, her sons, left from the succession by the said Genevieve Cheval, mother of the two latter sons, succession proceedings made on October 2, 1774 by the Royal Notary, Mr. Garic. The inventory and estimation made at the decease of Francois Croizet, March 20, 1792. Sale of the property mentioned to be on date of April 30, and days following same year. In the partition of the community between Genevieve Cheval and the decd. Croizet, the portion coming to the latter amounted to $11,564 pounds, fifteen solde, being half of the amount he brought to Mrs. Anne Trepagnier, his widow, in second community. Other monies mentioned owing widow. At sale of property various sums realized. There is mentioned that the last tern of sale price of platation will be due May 13, 1794. A debt is owed by dec. Francois Croizet to Sucn. of Poirrier, for which note was given. Receipt for amt. from Sucn. given by Francois Croizet, Jr. to Mrs. Marie Anne Trepagnier, his step-mother; dated February 20, 1794. He also gives receipt for his brother, Simon dated February 20, 1794. Joseph Laurent Fabre husband of Elezabeth Croizet gives receipt dated February 20, 1794. Michel Cantrelle, for his daughter, minor, gives receipt dated February 21, 1794, to Mrs. Maire Ann Trepagnier, widow of Francois Croizet, Sr. who, in turn, gives receipt to DeVerbois, for sum given to her as a result of sale of property of decd. without including sale of planation; receipt dated February 22, 1794. Francois Croizet promises to pay the money coming from the sucn. to the following at their age of majority or when they marry: Henriette, Isabel, Eleine, Suzon and Justine Croizet. A plantation situated at the said place on the right bank of the Mississippi river adjacent above to the lands of Mister Jacque Canterelle, and below to those of the said Mr. Francois Croizet, containing thriteen arpents and some toises of front on the ordinary depth; For sum of $4,500 which Widow promises to pay to the sucn. of her dec. husband in 3 years.
