Narcis Crozet, free negro working at Guillaume Blake's had declared that 
having been deceived by his son, Jean Baptiste, who said he had received his 
freedom and producing a paper which was to confirm it; having received no such 
word; and not finding his son at Barthelimi Ollin, his real master, for having 
been purchased of Mr. Nicolet; he promissing to work until his son's return. 
And afterwards, Barthelemi Ollin declared that he had a document dated May 15, 
1803 consented by Mr. Nicolet in favor of the slave Jean Baptiste by which he 
acknowledged money in hands of Mr. Pavie, to use only for his freedom, 
according him annual interest.
