Dn Franco Bouligny, Colonel of the Regiment of Infantry of this Post, and Provisional Commandant of the Army of this Province of Louisiana for His Majesty, To Dn Franco Rivas, Captain of the Regiment of Infantry of Louisiana, Commandant of the Post of Iberville, having been informed about the present writing signed by Dn Lorenzo Sigur against Dn Anselmo Blanchard, both Captains of the Militia, on the invalidity of the sale of a plantation and tracts which the second made to the first, presents document for the named Sigur, and a declaration of Dn Luis Dannequin on acknowledgment of the documents the orginal of which precedes the answer, and certifications. Date: July 20, 1799 Presented before me, Ximenes. Petition - Dn Franco DelaRua, in the name and as attorney for Dn Lorenzo Sigur, in the procedure which is against Dn Anselmo Blanchard, on the invalidity of the sale which was made of a plantation and tracts, apprears and declares that this cause is admitted for proof, and asked that an order be dispatched to the Commandant Dn Franco Rivas, who is of the Post of Iberville in order that Dn Luis Dannequin, might declare the paper's contents. * * * Petition that the order might be served, and the said Commandant Dn Franco Rivas, to give notice of the second concession confirmed to Dn Anselmo Blanchard, and with all the cypress trees, * * * the Land Surveyor in the Post, Dn Vicente Pintado; that the said second concession is in the possession of Dn Anselmo Blanchard, having been ceded firstly according to plan, with the acknowledgment of the immediate neighbors. Date: July 27, 1799 Decree - To present the documents referred to. Date: July 27, 1799 Notification - Of decree to Dn Franco DelaRua. Date: July 27, 1799 Notification - To Pedro Bertonier, of the said decree. Date: August 20, 1799 I, Dn Franco Rivas, find it necessary to take the declaration of Luis D'Annequin and name Joseph Brasset and Franco Maurice witnesses, to appear before him. Acceptance: Franco Maurice and Josef Brasset accept the order that they act as witnesses. Declaration - Dn Franco Rivas declares that the two witnesses have appeared before him. Franco Rivas certifies by the privious documents, that he does not have in his archives, any notice, about the 2nd concession, which was conceded to Dn Anselmo Blanchard, that the cypress trees are found behind the 40 arpents of depth of his possessions.
