Declaration - Jean Baptiste Dupuis, who being present took oath before Pierre 
Belly, Judge of the County, who asked him if it was to his knowledge that a 
sale of land which was made by the savages, to Antoine Lanclos, in year 1802 
of 18th of June before Mr. Francois Rivas who was at that time, Commandant of 
the District of Iberville; he (Dupuis) answered that the conditions were 
specified to commence to take in the rear of the forty arpents of Mrs. Jacob 
and going to end at the Village which comes to the bank of the Bayou of the 
Fork of Plaquemine, the said Mr. Dupuis declares that he has no other 
knowledge, except that which he has said hereinabove.
