Obligation, with Mortgage

Juan Dupuis to Magdalena Ebert, daughter of Cazidan Ebert and of Margarita 
Babin, her decd. father and mother, for that which corresponds to her 
inheritance in the decd. of her parents; 

Juan Dupuis owes Magdalena Ebert, an obligation, for he holds sum belonging to 
her, from the above said succession; that his step-father, Pedro Clouatre, had 
held said sum according to his obligation found in the archives dated November 
12 of the year passed, 1801 1781; (both dates are given) and Juan Dupuis 
declares formal receipt for the same and declares himself debtor for the said 
sum, with the accord of Pablo Babin and Joseph Ebert, uncles by blood of the 
said Magdalena Ebert, to pay the latter when she reaches age of majority, with 
Surety, Antonio Blanchard who mortgages all his property, until payment.
