Thomas Estevan, husband of Maria Rivas, declares: That since his wife had to be with her aged parents in the District of Iberville, and that he could not be with her until circumstances would permit him; that he possessed land in said District and that his wife had purchased it with money which was contrived in his marriage with her; and that he renounces to her whatever rights he has in the property, so that his relatives might not claim any part should he fail to be there; therefore, his wife posseses the whole of: A plantation of four arpents of land of front with the depth of forty, neighboring to that of her father, with four slaves, ****.
