Appeared: Luisa Lager, widow of decd. Juan Franchebois; Atanacio Dardene, 
Juana Maria Dardene, Carlos Dardene, Mariana Climpetre, widow of Alexandro 
Dardene, Juan Franchebois and Isabel Franchebois, all present.
Declaring that Luisa Lager, the widow who had married at first Carlos Dardene, 
from which marriage issued: 6 children, and having married the second time, 
Juan Franchebois, having two children. Decide that it is to the best advantage 
to the children to have an inventory made of the property of her two husbands, 
Carlos Dardene and Juan Franchebois, and afterwards to proceed to the sale of 
the same, in order that the children might receive their share from their 
respective fathers. 




Date: May 24, 1798
Decree - Name as appraisers, Lorenzo Dupre and Luis D'Auterive, in order to 
proceed to the inventory of the property.



Date: May 25, 1798
Oath of Lorenzo (or Laurent) Dupre. 

Same date: Oath of Luis D'Auterive.

Decree - Observing the oaths, the Commandant orders that they proceed to the 
inventory. Notifications to Luisa Lager, widow of the decd. Juan Franchebois; 
to Atanacio Dardene; to Juana Mario Dardene; to Mariana Dardene; to Margarita 
Dardene; to Carlos Dardene; to Mariana Climpetre, widow of Alexandro Dardene; 
to Juan Franchebois; to Isabel Franchebois; to Lorenzo Dupre; to Luis 
D'Auterive.

Inventory - movables. slaves.



Date: June 23, 1798
Appeared Luisa Lager, widow of the decd. Juan Franchebois who declares that 
she accepts the inventory's estimation. And having a family meeting being 
present: Juan Franchebois and Ysabel Franchebois, children of the decd. Juan 
Franchebois to deliberate with the widow and they are of common accord that 
the property go to their mother, as price of estimation, on condition that she 
pays the heirs their share. The said widow accepts the property at price of 
estimation on condition expressed.

Same date - Appeared Luisa Lager widow of Juan Franchebois, who declared the 
names of the creditors and debtors of the succession.

Liquidation - Attached to the liqidation are: Power of Attorney dated Sept. 
29, 1798 from Margauite Dardaine to her brother, Tanasse Dardaine, to receive 
sums for her from the sucn. of her father - Power of Attorney from Mari Ganne 
Derden to Atanase, her brother, dated Sept. 28, 1798 to receive her share from 
the sucn. of her father - Power of Attorney dated Sept. 29, 1798 from Marie 
Janne Dardaine, Marie Anne Dardaine, Marguerite Dardene, Charles Dardaine and 
Marie Anne Climpetre, widow of Alexandro Dardene, as heirs of the decd. 
Charles Dardene, their father, give authority to Atanasse Dardaine, their 
brother, to give aquittance to their mother, Louise Lager, for money received 
from her coming to them from the sucn. of their father - Power of Attorney 
dated Sept. 28, 1798 from Carlos Dardaine to his brother, Atanase, to receive 
his share from the sucn. of his father. - All these powers of attorney are 
written in French.

Appeared Juan Franchebois who has received of Luisa Lager, his mother, certain 
sum coming from his father, Juan Franchebois


Same date: Santiago DeVilliers who declared to have received of Luisa Lager, 
his mother-in-law certain sum coming to his wife, Isabel Franchebois, from her 
father, Juan Franchebois. 



Date: September 29, 1798
Appeared Atanacio Dardene who declared that he received of his mother Luisa 
Lager, certain sum belonging to the children: Juana Maria Dardene, Mariana 
Dardene, Margarita Dardene, Carlos Dardene and Mariana Climpetre, widow of 
Alexandro Dardene, from their deceased father, Carlos Dardene.
