Petition -
To: William Claiborne, Governor General of Lousisana
Petitions that the late Anthony Cafarel, deceased on Coast of Iberville, left 
a last will, and named Bernard Genois tutor of his children, and named his 
executor as Peter Melo. 

Petition of Bernard Genois - petitions that it is impossible for him to accept 
guardianship and ask that another tutor be named.

Date: May 12, 1804
Signed by William Claiborne saying that the Commandant of the District of 
Iberville will take the above into consideration, as best of interest of the 
minors.
