Decree dated Jan. 18, 1800 of Franco Rivas, declaring that Joseph Braud would be guardian of the minors and the appraisers would be Diego Arnandez and Amant Hebert. Date: January 20, 1800 Declaration by Franco Rivas that he has given notice to Joseph Braud that he would be Guardian of minors and that Joseph Braud has accepted the responsability. Date: Same Delaration by Franco Rivas that he has given notice to the appraisers who accept the responsability. Decree dated January 21, 1800 The declaration of Franco Rivas that observing the oaths of the Guardian and of the appraisers, that the inventory would be proceeded to . Date: same Notice to Maturin Landry, widower of Marie Perpetua Braud. Date: same Notice to Joseph Braud, Guardian of the minors of the decd. Date: Januray 26, 1800 Inventory continued - negroes A plantation situated in the Jurisdiction of Baton Rouge on the right bank of the Mississippi river, bounded on the upper part by lands of Joseph Dorion and below by those of Pedro Heber composed of seven arpents of front on the ordinary depth of forty, with good cypress trees and a clearing of thirty arpents of superficie, more or less, enclosed solely on its front, the courty-yard and a park of four arpents of circumference, with a house which belongs to the succession for having been purchased of Estevan Ebert by deed executed before the Commandant of Baton Rouge, Dn. Joseph Barques Bahamonde, who was Commandant we understand. The present plantation situated in the referred District of Iberville on the right bank of the Mississippi river, composed of five arpents and a half of front with the ordinary depth of forty, bounded on the upper part by lands of Juan Bautista Leblanc and below by those of Joseph Ignacio Landry, brother of the widower, the said plantation contains nine arpents, depth on all its front, of land, well found and surrounded, with a house, well understood that of the five arpents and a half which said plantation holds on the front, it has an arpent and a half on all the depth of forty, reserved for the use of the mother of the widower Maturin Landry, during her life. (The word front is underlined in the instrument just as is shown) Date: May 31, 1800 Continuation of inventory - movables Date: July 29, 1800 Appear Xavier, Pedro and Margarita Landry, children of Maturino Landry and of Maria Perpetua Braud, deceased, who declare that a curator ad litem had been appointed, being their uncle by blood, Joseph Braud and their father to receive their share in the succession. Notice by Franco Rivas, Commandant to Joseph Braud and his acceptance; same date. Date: July 29, 1800 Appeared: Xavier, Pedro and Margarita Landry, children of Matruino Landry and of Marie Perpetua Braud, decd. who delare that in conformity to an order of the Lieutenent Governor etc. executed by me (Commandant) that with the permission of their father, Joseph Braud, their uncle by blood was named curator ad lite of the three, for their share of the inheritance of their mother, decd. Date: same Acceptance of Joseph Braud as curator ad lite In conformity with the originals remitted to the Tribunal in Office, No. 25 August 28, 1800 Signed Franco Rivas Date: August 26, 1800 Appeared Joseph Braud, as curator ad lite of Pedro, Xavier and Margarita, who delcares that he proceeds to the Superior Tribunal in order to claim concerning the inventory of the decd. for the minors, with Maturino Landry, for the minors shares. In conformity with the original attached to the inventory August 28, 1800 Franco Rivas. Date: September 6, 1800 Order, to have an inventory and sale of the property belonging to the decd. Maria Perpetua Braud. Date: September 29, 1800 Notification to Maturino Landry to produce all the property of the decd. and belonging to the community Date: same Notification to Joseph Braud, as curator ad lite of the minors of Maturino Landry and the decd. that the Commandant desires a declaration from him as to the marriage of the father and mother of minors, etc. Date: September 30, 1800 Appeared Maturino Landry who declares that he married the decd. Maria Perpetua Braud; that she had received money from her decd. father and mother; the curator ad lite, Joseph Braud, confirms the same. Date: May 29, 1779 The Commandant, Rivas, certifies that the marriage contract is the same which was delivered by Maturino Landry. Date: May 29, 1779 Marriage Contract - Maturin Landry son of Augustin Landry and of Marie Babin, his father and mother; And Perpetue Braud, daughter of the decd.
