That the savages were in possession and resided on the land which they sold to Lanclos, situated at the same place, as also they possessed the length of land which is between the line below of the plantation of Mrs. Jacques Chelatre and the first Bayou of Plaquemine. And he gives for security, of his oath, Jean Maille. And further, Landry declared that the savages had been in possession and were residing on these same lands, before the Widow Jacques Chelatre and her husband had taken possession and had resided on their actual plantation.
