Appeared: Eloy Melanson who declared that at the request of his brother-in-
law, Ferdinand Capdevielle, asking of him, an acceptance or a refusal on the 
action which he had intended against those which are possessed of the land 
which is occupied and belongs to the late Charles Melanson, their father and 
father-in-law, situated at the County of Acadia, opposite, Lafourche; he 
declares to refuse to take any part to this said action, intending in no 
manner to take advantage or disadvantage which might result in the decision of 
the matter, renouncing, to all claims in his capacity of heir of his decd. 
father, Charles Melanson, he might have on the above said property.
