Date: November 27, 1793 Inventory - At request of Mrs. Marie Cecille Dupuy, widow by first marriage of Joseph Braux, and by second marriage of Joseph Richard. Present: Paul Marie Landry, Armant Ebert, and Joseph LeBlanc, uncles of the minors of the two marriages. A plantation on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the land of Mr. Isaac LeBlanc, and below to that of Widow Theodore Rivet, containing eight arpents of front, on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, the buildings, enclosures such and which it comprises, at present, which belongs to the succession for having been conceded six arpents to the deceased according to the article of concession, and plan on the date of the twenty- ninth of February, one thousand seven hundred seventy-two, and two arpents for having been purchased by the deceased, of Theodore Rivet. Another plantation situated on the same bank of the river on the ordinary depth, adjacent above to the lands of Mr. Michel Braux, and below to that of Gonhnson such as it comprises which belongs to the succession for having been purchased by the deceased of Mr. Heneri Nicholson, containing six arpents of front. A cypress grove situated on Bayou Manchak containing fifteen arpents of front and without any work which had been conceded to the deceased according to the titles of concession, and plan on the date of the third of September of one thousand seven hundred ninety-three. Due to the succession: Debt by the succession of Joseph Richard, $365. She asks that above property be sold at auction and refuses the price of estimation. Date: January 13, 1794 Petition for family meeting. Appears Mrs. Cicille Dupuy, widow by first marriage of Joseph Braud and now, of Joseph Richard, who declared that having proceeded to the inventory of the property left by the latter, she thought it suitable afterwards to refuse the estimation price and asked for sale; but she desires to accept the objects inventoried at the price of the estimation, to proceed at present to the appointment of a tutor to the minor children of the first marriage of her deceased husband: under-tutor was well, to those minors and to those minors of her marriage with the deceased Joseph Richard; she desires a family meeting to deliberate on the interest of the minors, and their tutorship.
