That through the medium of an Interpreter, of thirty-five arpents of front on the Bayou with forty of depth, and in confirmity with the account, and security which was declared to me by the first Interpreter, Atanacio Dardene, (as is specified that it would be behind the forty arpents of the plantation of Barvara Climpetre) Passed also other sale in favor of Felix Braud of ten arpents of land of front with forty of depth, passing in continuation from that of Lanclos. That there exists in the archives of this County, in office of Gov. Dn. Luis de Unzaga of the 24th of Dec. 1770, that it was understood Dn. Luis Dutisne in order to establish the Indians at Plaquemine, and that remitted with the other offices the Gov. of Spain, by virtue of the orders which had effect and were received. That Barvara Chimpetre presented herself, presenting a brief asking to be allowed a corner of land situated between her plantation and the Bayou, which she declares is for the Dominon of His Majesty, not holding any acknowledgment of the situation of the said corner, nor is it laid out for the Dominion of His Majesty, the contrary being understood by us as belonging to the Indians, and for another, which should belong to Mr. Villiers by the donation which Mrs. Enrrique Depre had made. I declare that I cannot report this brief, until I am well informed as to whom belongs the said corner.
