Date: October 30, 1793 At request of Mrs. Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet - Inventory - Tutor of minors of Theodor Rivet - Pierre Rivet, their paternal uncle. In presence of Pierre Rivet and Bonnaventure LeBlanc, their grandfather (Tutors named in family meeting held them) commence to inventory A plantation situated in this Post on the left bank of the Mississippi river adjacent above to the lands of Mr. Joseph Richard and below to those of Mr. Jean Pierre Culler, containing four arpents and some toises of front on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, the buildings, enclosures such as the said plantation comprises and contains, which belongs to the succession for having been purchased of Mister Bernard Lintot by act passed and deposited in the archives of this Commandant about seven years ago; Debt of this Succession: Certain sum ($68.00) owed to the Succession of Amant Ebert. Date: November 4, 1793 Family meeting - To deliberate whether or not to sell the property; decided to have public sale. Appeared Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet; Pierre Rivet, under-tutor of the minors; relatives of the minors: Bonnaventure LeBlanc, grandfather Date: January 19, 1794 Public Sale - A plantation situated in this Post on the left bank of the Mississippi river adjacent above to the plantation belonging to the succession of the late Joseph Richard, and below to those of Mr. Jn Pierre Culler, containing four arpents and some toises of front on the ordinary depth of forty, the buildings, enclosures which might be thereon, in a word, such as it might comprise and contain, which belongs to the succession for having been purchased of Mr. Bernard Lintot by act passed and deposited in the archives of this Commandant about seven years ago. Surety, Mrs. Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet Date: April 6, 1795 Receipt - Pierre Longulpee and Mrs. Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet, his wife, to Commandant, Nicolas DeVerbois - For receiving money for sale of property at auction. Date: April 16, 1795 Minor's Mortgage - Pierre Longuelppe and Mrs. Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet, his wife accompained by Pierre Rivet, under-tutor to the 6 minors of Theodor Rivet; and Bonnaventure LeBlanc, their grandfather. All appeared. Pierre Longuelpee and Mrs. Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet, his wife To Pierre Rivet under-tutor to the 6 minors. Mortgage all their property because they hold money belonging to the minors coming from sale at auction of property of decd. Theodor Rivet, promising at the age of majority (small account of liquidation mentioned) Date: January 29, 1798 Mortgages and Release of Mortgage - Appeared Pierre Rivet, tutor of the minor children of the decd. Theodor Rivet. Who declared that Pierre Longuelppe, having married in second marriage, Ester LeBlanc, widow of Theodor Rivet, and in consequence, he (Rivet) had placed in his hands, money ($375.00) belonging to the minors, and for security thereof he (Longuelpee) mortgaged the plantation which he had acquired, at the auction of the deceased, and conjointly with his wife. Desiring to sell the said plantation; Pierre Rivet tutor of the minors consents on the condition that Pierre Longuelpee remits to him money ($200) at the moment of the passing of the said sale, which $200.00, he, Pierre Rivet, obligates himself to place at interest, or to pay himself, the interest at rate of 5%, which interest will be remitted every year to Pierre Longuelpee in conformity with the act of inventory dated April 16, 1795, and for guarantee of the said $200.00 Pierre Rivet, tutor mortgages the following: His plantation situated above the Point, between Alexandre Landry on the lower side and Thomas Hebert, above, containing four arpents and a half of front on the ordinary depth. The $175.00 remaining in the hands of Pierre Longuelpee in conformity with the act of inventory dated April 16, 1795 for the responsibility of the said sum Mr. Janvier Longuelpee constitutes himself as Surety with the consent and to the satisfaction of the said Pierre Rivet, and for more security, he mortgages: His plantation situated lower than the whole of Bayou Goula, of three arpents, Edmon Capedevielle below and Louis Bouche above. In consequence, Pierre Rivet gives release of mortgage of the plantation which Pierre Longuelpee acquired at the auction of the late Theodor Rivet January 19, 1794 that the annotation will be made in the proceedings of the said adjudication and that the present will be annexed to the said inventory in order to have recourse. And at the instant Pierre Longuelpee remitted to Pierre Rivet the $200.00 mentioned and Pierre Rivet gives him quittance on January 29, 1798.
