All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 15, 2006, 7:19 pm Source: Transcribed Court Document Written: September 23, 1791 Date: September 23, 1791 Mortgage - Tirce Vermejo to Jean Valler For payment of debt, he mortgages: His plantation situated on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Joseph Leblanc and below to those of Manuel Coruil, as there is litigation between Tirce Vermejo and Mr. Jean Charles Comau relative to the exchange of the plantation, above to one belonging to this latter, situated on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent to the boundary of Pierre Brasseux on descending up to a bakehouse which is beyond the house of the said Comau, provided that in the case that the exchange is made, the plantation exchanged to Tirce Vermejo will rest affected and hypothecated, (instead of) that which comes to Jean Charles Comau.
