Esteven Watts, inventoried, declaring that the plantation needs a better levee to be made, and desires also to have the land sold at public sale. Decree dated November 14, 1795, by Governor General, Baron de Carondelet, declaring same to be made. Date: November 25, 1795 Inventory - By virtue of Governor Gerneral's order of November 14, 1795; According tho which order Commandant Pierre Voisin, goes on the plantation occupied by Dn Etienne Watts, situated in this District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to that of Mr. Bt. Gravier and below to that of Mr. Pierre Belly, containing eighteen arpents or thereabout, of front on the ordinary depth of forty, with the opening which corresponds to it; or being at a distance of four leagues from my residence (Com. Pierre Voisin) assisted by the witnesses hereinafter signed; They have first estimated four arpents and a half of land situated in the upper part of the said plantation taking from the boundary of the land of Mr. Gravier on descending, and all consideration made, they have estimated ?; Four other arpents and a half of land of front on the depth on the depth and the opening which corresponds to it, taking from the boundary of those estimated herein above on descending, with their wretched houses and enclosures which are thereon; although out of service, in a word, such as they comprise and contain now, estimated ?; Four other arpents and a half of front on the ordinary depth and opening which corresponds to it, taking form the boundary of those estimated in the second lot, on descending, up to the concurrence of the said four arpents and a half, such as they comprise and contain at present, estimated ?; Finally, four other arpents and a half or thereabout, more or less, such as they might comprise and contain now, taking immediately from those estimated in the third lot, up to the boundary of Mr. Pierre Belly, estimated ?. Date: November 29, 1795 By virtue of order of Gov. Gen. dated November 14, 1795, inventory continued, and now Notice is given of Public Sale of said property. Date: December 6, 1795 Notice of Public Sale Date: December 8, 1795 Notice of Publec Sale Date: December 13, 1795 Public Sale - Pierre Voisin, Commandant. The 1st, 2nd and 4th parts were not adjudicated; but the 3rd part of the plantation with the same opening in the depth, adjudicated to Pierre Belly; Surety - Phillippe Roth.
