For payment of the said sum, Alain mortgages: His plantation situated in this District on the left bank of the Mississippi river between those of Messrs. Firmin Blanchard and Josephe Leblanc, containing eight arpents of front and the ordinary depth which belongs to him for having been purchased from the late Bonavanture Foret about sixteen years ago.
