Sale - Pablo Babin to Joseph McKelpin

A tract belonging to me situated in the District of Baton Rouge, at distance 
of one league and a half from the Mississippi river, at the place named "Hills 
of the Fountains" or "Bluff of the Source of the River" composed of five 
arpents and a half more or less, of front with the ordinary depth of forty, 
bounded on the upper part by the lands of Enrrique or Emericus Adam and below 
by those of Simon Alain, the same which was possessed and purchased of Dn 
Franco Rivas, Commandant of this District, by deed executed before the 
Commandant who was we understand Dn Nicolas DeVerbois, on the twenty-second of 
August of the year one thousand seven hundred ninety-one; and selling same 
with its dependencies.

(On margin written in Spanish) Note: That the mortgage is cancelled Date: Jan. 
5, 1804
