All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 15, 2006, 8:37 pm Written: March 2, 1792 Date: March 2, 1792 Sale - Firmain Blanchard and Mrs. Magdelaine Bujau, his wife to Joseph Barquer Vahamonde A plantation situated in this District on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Margueritte Blanchard widow of Jean Baptiste Allain and below to those of Paul Chiasson, containing six arpents eleven toises of front on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, the buildings, enclosures such as they comprise, which belong to the vendors for having been purchased of Joseph Matton and of Mrs. Marie Joseph Doucette, his wife, by act passed and deposited in the archives on date of twenty-seventh of February one thousand seven hundred eighty-seven; besides, two arpents and a half of cypress trees and oaks, (that is to say the cypresses and oaks which are on this said land) situated on the plantation belonging to Joseph Leblanc, adjacent above to the land of this Church, which belongs to him for having been purchased about three years ago, by private act of the late Ignace Babin, his step father, selling also three carts, etc. (beau pere means father in law or step father in French and it can be either unless you stop to figure out relations.)
