All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 2, 2007, 3:33 pm Written: August 15, 1800 Date: August 15, 1800 Sale - Olivero Brasset to Pedro Fernando Landry A plantation belonging to me situated in the said District, on the left bank of the Mississippi river, bounded by the upper part by lands of Ypolito Landry and below by those of Pablo Babin, composed of four arpents more or less, of front, with the ordinary depth of forty, with its edifices, palisades and fences, and in the same condition in which it was found, which was possessed and purchased of the said Ypolito Landry, by deed executed before the Provisional Commandant of this District who was we understand, Dn Pedro Voisin, dated the tenth day of the month of July of the year passed of one thousand seven hundred ninety-seven; with, besides, the ownership of the cypress trees and oak trees which correspond to this plantation, of an arpent of front on the ordinary depth of forty, situated in the above said District on the same bank of the river between the possessions above of Dn Joseph Barquer Bahamonde and below to Theodor Duga, which are sold inclusive with this said plantation, and which were possessed by Ypolito Landry from Mrs. Maria Rivas, widow of Dn Francisco Simeon Mathe to the expressed Ypolito Landry and to his first mother, Ysidoro Blanchard by deed executed on date of the twenty-ninth day of the month of August of the year of one thousand seven hundred ninety-three; which clause did not express in the deed of sale which was passed me of this above said plantation, the said Ypolito Landry having omitted in some manner the deed of Dn Pedro Voisin, and by this evidence, the referred Ypolito Landry assumed title; and I sell said plantation, cypress trees and oak trees mentioned free of encumbrances and mortgages.
