All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 22, 2006, 7:52 pm Written: July 13, 1795 Date: July 13, 1795 Deed of Exchange - Jean Louis Buche and Jean Charles Comau Jean Louis Buche transfers the cypress trees which might be found on the 4 arpents of cypress grove which he possesses on a tract which belongs actually to the said Jean Charles Comau, on the depth that if might have, which belongs to him for having been acquired of Mr. Theodor Duga, resident of this Post by act passed before me and deposited in the archives of this Commandant on the date of the 23rd of Nov. 1788, which land is situated in the Point, called of Comau, adjacent below to that of Pierre Clouatre and above to that of Simon Pierre Babin; and the cypress trees exchanged herein above is to take on the boundary of that of the said Simon Pierre Clouatre on ascending up to the concurrence of the said four arpents. In exchange, Jean Charles Comau transfers to Jean Louis Buche: his rights, claims and work which he had made, and acquired on a tract of three arpents or thereabout, of front on the depth which corresponds to it, situated in this District on the right bank of the said river, between that of Jeanvier Longuelpee below and above to that of which he resides and actually possesses, which had been reunited to the Royal Dominion by the order of the Commandant on the date of the 2nd of February 1793, approved by the Governor General of this Province, the 19th of the said month. Date: February 10, 1798 Jean Louis Buche and Jean Charles Comau appear and annul the act of July 13, 1795 whereby Jean Louis Buche transferred the cypress trees which are found on the 4 arpents of land situated on the left bank of the Mississippi river, between Pierre Clouatre below and above Simon Pierre Babin, and whereby Jean Charles Comau transferred a plantation of about three arpents of front on the ordinary depth situated on the right bank of the Mississippi river between Jeanvier Longuelpee below and the said Jean Charles Comau above.
