Mortgage - Thomas Cropper declares that he owes William Conway, certain sum 
for which he mortgages:

The plantation where he resides, situated in this County on the left bank of 
the Bayou of Plaquemine, bounded above by the properties of Auguste Richard 
and below by that of Pierre Braud, Sr. composed of ten arpents of front on 
twenty of depth, the buildings, enclosures, and other things which might be 
thereon, that which is meant, by its belongings and dependencies, in a word, 
such as it comprises and contains, at present, with its improvements which are 
to be made, the same which he had purchased of Felix Atanase Dardene according 
to document recorded this day in these archives on date of the eleventh of 
September of the year passed, one thousand eight hundred five; which 
plantation as it is explained herein above, he promises not to sell, etc.
