All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 21, 2007, 5:27 pm Written: July 2, 1806 Date: July 2, 1806 Sale - Thomas Cropper to Francois Charles Marionnau, his brother-in-law A plantation of his ownership, situated at the above said County on the right bank and in front of the Mississippi river, bounded above by the lands of his father-in-law, Francois Marionnau and below by those of the Widow Thomas Rills, composed of two arpents of land of front and of forty of depth, only reserving for himself and his own, the ownership of the second concession of the above said plantation, the two arpents of land of front with forty of depth, only selling thereinabove, belonging to the vendor for having been purchased of Jacques Leblanc according to the ownership which he had given him or the act of sale which he had been passed the twenty-ninth day of the month of January one thousand eight hundred three, passed before Francois Rivas, then Commandant of the District of Iberville; the above said plantation, selling, and is sold with the buildings, enclosures and other things which might be found thereon, that which one would call its belongings and dependencies, without any reserves, conditions, or restrictions whatsoever except on the second concession already mentioned herein above; but under the special clause and express condition that he, Thomas Cropper, vendor, his own, his heirs, descendants, successors or assigns, as owners of the above said second concession, or second depth of the plantation herein sold; will have for their possession and enjoyment (for their convenience and use of their transport to the river, as also for the transport of the objects to them necessary, be they leaving from the river, from the road, or leaving from his property in order to be going, in provision, funds, merchandise, materials and whatever kinds, species or needs there may be, A road useful and convenient for all carts and carriages which are and will be necessary all and for always, as long as the above mentioned ownership would exist; well understood and expressly agreed between the parties that each and every one who will succeed him in the ownership of the plantation which has been sold him by the present act, will be for always and forever obligated and helf to fulfill exactly this express reserve and condition.
