All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 27, 2007, 2:47 pm Written: October 22, 1805 Date: October 22, 1805 Sale - Confirmation Mrs. Marie Anne Dardene, wife of Louis Leonard, representing him and appearing in her name in managing all matters of interest existing and which might be personally regarded thereto; Who had sold on June 21, 1800 to Olivier Brasset and the latter, to Theresse Hamelton, widow of Thomas Rills, 20th of Feb. 1802 by act passed before Francois Rivas, former Commandant of the District of Iberville and deposited in the archives of this County; as she does sell to Theresse Hamelton, widow of Thomas Rills as successor to the rights of the same Olivier Brasset, by her acquistition: Three arpents and a half of land of front on forty of depth, situated in this County of Iberville, on the right bank of the Mississippi river, near Plaquemine, in the rear of the first concession of three arpents and a half of front also on forty of depth which possesses and where actually resides, the same Widow Thomas Rills; which is situated between the properties above of Thomas Cropper and below to those of the vendors; the said three arpents and a half of land of front on forty arpents of depth being that which corresponds to the said widow Rills for her share, part and portion which comes to her in the second concession which the vendors have obtained of all the former plantation of seven arpents and a half of front, which they possessed formerly, which they had sold to Fran Gannie and to Olivier Brasset, after, being reserved two arpents; which second concession belong to them according to the title of the Lieutenant General of Government of Spain on date of the 21st of January 1800, which have just been deposited in the archives of this County. The present sale made for sum of $70 forming the part which corresponds to her of the $150 of expense that the vendors have made for the total of said 2nd concession of all their former plantation; paid cash, by this the vendors giving quittance to Theresse Hamelton, widow Rills. By means of the whole, said vendors declare that they renounce in favor of Theresse Hamelton, Widow Rills, all rights that they might have on the said three arpents and a half of land of front and forty of depth of the second concession.
