All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 16, 2006, 8:54 pm Written: August 26, 1793 Date: August 26, 1793 Deed of Exchange - Francois Delery and Francois Marionneau Francois Delery to Francois Marionneau: 4 arpents and a half of land, taking from the lower part of his plantation, situated in this District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to lands of Mr. Louis Leonard and below to that of the lady, Widow Pradier, on ascending, the buildings, enclosures which might be thereon, or more, such as they might comprise, on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, which belongs to him for having been acquired of Mr. Thomas Berwick by act passed and deposited in the archives of this Commandant on the date of the eighteenth of February of the year one thousand seven hundred eighty-eight; reserving the three cabins and also the use of that which he exchanges in the present act, that is to say, of the buildings, yard and garden up to theend of this year. In exchange, Francois Marionneau to Mr. Delery Negro slaves. * * * understood that the 4 1/2 arpents exchanged, the cypress trees which might be found on an arpent of front and 25 of depth belong to the said lady, Widow Pradier, which arpent takes from the boundary of the plantation of this latter, on ascending.
